Job Overview

The Project Controls Manager reports to and takes direction from the Project Manager.  The primary responsibilities of the Project Controls Manager are the identification of upcoming project controls and scheduling needs, participate in identifying and developing and implementing project specific reporting requirements and systems.


Performance Objectives

  • Leads the daily operation of the site Project Controls department
  • Mentors and coaches staff, interprets performance and provides feedback
  • Attends to complex or unique issues which may arise internally or externally.

Job Requirements

Role and Responsibilities

  • Oversees the reporting of project data to ensure it is timely and accurate
  • Ensures processes are in place for efficient costing, scheduling and earned value management tracking
  • Develops and maintains processes and systems for detailed productivity, forecasting and variance reporting
  • Assists in the development and ensures adherence to the Project Control plan specific to a project assignment. These plans include, but are not limited to the Change Management, and Progress Reporting etc.
  • Prepares and provides recommendations based on Project Performance Analyses to Project Management and Executive Team.

  • Engineering degree with 8-10 years’ experience in Cost Engineering or Tech diploma with 10+ years of experience.
