Cargill is currently accepting applications for Production Workers at our beef processing facility in High River, Alberta. Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, 2 Shifts
Shift Times: (1st 7:00am – 4:00pm), (2nd 4:15pm – 1:15am)
Salary: $17.95 Hr for 40 hours per week
Applicants with over 1 year meat processing experience start at $19.65 Hr
Overtime paid at time and a half.
Location: High River, Alberta
Skill Requirements: None. Training will be provided
Experience: Not essential
Languages: Not required
Work Setting: The employee would be working in a slaughter and meat cutting establishment. They would be performing specific and precise functions on the production floor. Work may include specific slaughtering tasks such as hide removal and eviscerating carcasses. Duties may also include removing bone from meat and cutting it to particular specifications. All duties must be performed in a safe manner and provided protective equipment that is specific to the job performed must be worn.
Weight Handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
Work Site Environment: Cold/refrigerated, repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods
Tools: Knives, hooks (Provided)
Equipment’s: Hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, mesh apron/sleeve/glove, steel toe boots (are provided)
Ability to work with others, manual dexterity, hand-eye co-ordination, ability to learn.
